Our Story
Three sisters came from very different backgrounds: a nurse, a music teacher in the school
system, and an office manager in their father’s furniture business who always wanted to work
together and felt led by divine intervention to open a childcare center. None of them had ever
used child care as their children were cared for by their mother. Their mother and father have
always been affectionately called Mamaw and Papaw by their children and grandchildren. Since
their daddy helped them build the center they decided to name it after him and that’s how The
Pa-Paw Patch was born on February 14, 2000.
